Imagine traveling in the year 1600…where storytelling was the most profound way of teaching and learning. The mysteries and wonders experienced as unnatural happenings influenced by energy and powers from the universe. How do you put these thoughts, imaginations, experiences into words?
In my opinion Prof. Anthony Aguirre found a brilliant and beautiful way of taking big and complex, interrelated topics and breaking them down and connecting them to ancient wisdom and stories. I have been reading this book very slowly. Actually I have been studying it instead of reading it. I am very much intrigued by the richness of the content, almost like unraveling major secrets. In a sense that is exactly what this book does.
My hand written notes are a reflection of my thinking while going through the pages of the book. I think this is the best way to learn a topic. Read the page or chapter. Let it sink in. Close the book and start writing questions, remarks or even summaries of what you still know about what you just read. In my notes you will find questions, visualizations, scribbles and also symbols indicating my feeling while reading.
For those interested in cosmology, science, physics, quantum mechanics and overall in the mysteries of the Universe please pick up the book and start reading. You won’t regret it. Looking forward to the next book of Prof. Aguirre.
